🕶️ Students built AI glasses that can Identify anyone on the street
Two Harvard students showed how they could use Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses to get personal information about strangers, which has raised major privacy concerns
AnhPhu Nguyen and Caine Ardayfio have come up with an innovative use for Meta’s smart glasses by pairing them with their own software.
This clever system, called I-XRAY, can identify people and pull up personal information using facial recognition, reverse image search, and large language models.
When they tried out I-XRAY at Harvard, they were able to accurately identify strangers and access their personal details.
This raises some privacy concerns, especially since Meta recently announced that it might use any images and videos shared with Meta AI for training.
